Privacy
Two separate things carry the RichTextBox name: this website, and the editor you install into your own application. They handle data very differently, so they are described separately below.
RichTextBox runs entirely inside your own application. The editor runtime is served from your servers as a static asset, and document content stays within your infrastructure — there is no RichScripts service in the editing path, and no account to create in order to use it.
Features that reach outside your application do so only because you configure them to, and they go where you point them: uploads go to the upload store you implement, collaboration goes through the WebSocket server you run, and AI requests go to the provider whose key you supply. That provider's own terms govern anything sent to it. If you configure none of these, the editor makes no outbound requests.
richtextbox.com is a documentation and demonstration site. It has no sign-up, no contact form and no newsletter, so it asks you for no personal information. It sets no cookies and carries no analytics, advertising or tag-manager scripts.
Two third parties serve assets to your browser and therefore receive your IP address and user agent as part of an ordinary web request: Google Fonts for typefaces and the Tailwind CDN for stylesheet generation. Our web host keeps standard server request logs. Live chat, where offered, is provided by MyLiveChat and is governed by their privacy policy.
The editors embedded in the demonstration pages run in your browser. Anything you type into them is not transmitted to us, and it is gone when you close the tab. Files uploaded through a demo are written to that demo's own upload folder; please do not upload anything confidential to a public demo.
